The School Health Services in Østensjø District works to promote the health and wellbeing of children and protect against disease and injury.
What is the School Health Service?
Children, adolescents and parents alike have need of guidance and advice to tackle the small and big challenges that might arise during their time at school. Every school in the district of Østensjø has a Health Service Professional that is part of the legally required health municipality program.
The goal is to promote the health of children and adolescents and prevent illness and injury. The School Health service systematically collaborates with the school to promote a student's learning and development, for example through teaching lessons or via the resource team at the school, following the Norwegian Directorate of Health's recommendations and the Health Services School Health Plan.
Health Professionals are subject to the Health Personelle Act (Helsepersonelloven)
